ABOUT CCP- Wholesale Trade Professionals (WSTP)

The CCP-WSTP program provides targeted support to companies experiencing business or process transformations, especially those affecting their wholesale trade operations or functions. The programme encourages employers to critically assess, optimize, and enhance the value proposition of job family from Trade, Finance & Regulations, Risk & Regulatory and Procurement & Sourcing, etc. 

CCP-WSTP is offered in two modalities:

  • Place and Train (PMETs - 6 months duration): For new hires
  • Job Redesign Reskilling (JRR) (3 months duration): For existing employees who required to be reskilled to take on redesigned or new wholesale trade related role

    Programme

    PMETs = Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians, refer to SSOC Major Groups 1 to 3. Click here to access Singapore Standard Occupational Classification SSOC.

    Eligibility Criteria

     

    Participating companies must be:

    • The company must be registered/ incorporated in Singapore
    • Candidate must be a minimum of 21 years old with at least 2 years of working experience
    • Candidate must be a new hire or existing employee nominated by an eligible participating company for the CCP
    • Be committed to working with SBF on the necessary administrative matters
    • Offering monthly gross salaries of at least $4,000 (New Hires) and/or $3,500 (Existing Employees)
    • Candidate should not be shareholder of the participating company or related entities (excluding publicly traded shares in listed companies). 
    • Candidate should not be related to the owners of the participating company

     

    Candidates under the programme must fulfil the following criteria

    For New Hires

    • The company must offer the new hire a PMET job and issue a valid employment contract.
    • Candidate should not be an immediate ex-staff of the participating company or its related entities.

    For Existing Employees

    • The affected Candidate would need to have at least 1 year of service with the company
    • (Job Redesign/ Reskilling) There must be substantial change between before/ after job role.

    *Job level and salary should not be lower than the previous


     

    Application Process - New Hires

    Train New Employees in WST companies/sector and roles into Trade, Finance & Regulations, Risk & Regulatory and Procurement & Sourcing, etc.

    Application Process for New Hires

    Please note that SBF requires approximately six weeks to review an application after all necessary information and supporting documents have been fully submitted.

    For new-hire applications, both CCP approval and the OJT start date must fall within 3 months of the employee’s date of employment.
    A minimum of four weeks is required for assessment and clarification following the submission of complete information and documents.
    Applications submitted with less than four weeks’ lead time will not be accepted.

    1. Latest ACRA Search or Instant Information (≤6 months old), including Corporate Shareholders if applicable 
    2. Company and Trainee Endorsed Declaration Form (Download here

    5. Endorsed Employment Contract of Trainee for new hires 
    6. Trainee's most updated CV (including start & end date of last employment & designation)

    Please ensure that the Corppass Administrator has granted the following access:

    • BGP Prepare Role (up to application submission)
    • BGP Acceptor Role (to accept the Letter of Offer)

    2. The trainee will receive an email to complete his/her section of the application form.
    3. Upon completion, company representatives will log in to endorse the application and upload the required supporting documents.

    Please note that we can only sight and process the application in the system after the above steps have been completed. Do ensure the candidates complete the submissions and inform us once the company acknowledges the applications
