The 2023 PEP-SBF Awards Ceremony was held today, with Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr Gan Kim Yong, as the Guest-of-Honour. The annual PEP-SBF Awards celebrates successful partnerships and contributions made by the private and public sectors in advancing Singapore’s pro-enterprise environment.

The MOU between Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Centre Singapore (HMGICS), Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) will promote collaboration and synergies between Singapore companies and HMGICS in the automotive manufacturing and advanced mobility industry in Singapore. The MOU covers four key areas that are central to HMGICS’ business operations in Singapore: vehicle connectivity technology, automotive customisation, battery circularity and automotive hydrogen fuel technology, which are aligned with the capabilities of Singapore companies.

The Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Business Advisory Council (ABAC) met for its last meeting of 2023 (ABAC IV), from 11 to 16 November in San Francisco, USA, to review the progress made in 2023 and discuss the agenda for 2024. The Council was represented by business leaders representing all 21 APEC economies.

The Singapore Business Federation (SBF), will be leading a business delegation of more than 500 senior business representatives from 56 Singapore companies to participate in the 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE), in Shanghai, China from 5 – 10 November 2023. This will be the largest Singapore delegation since 2020 and follows the elevation of the bilateral relationship between China and Singapore to that of an “All-Round High-Quality Future-Oriented Partnership” (全方位高质量的前瞻性伙伴关系) earlier this year.
