SBF, through Alternate Member Mr Albert Tsui, Executive Director for Advocacy & Policy, represented Singapore at the second ABAC Meeting in Brunei from 27 to 30 April 2023. Under the theme of Equity. Sustainability. Opportunity, ABAC’s agenda for 2023 includes a focus on ensuring that micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) can expand their engagement in the global economy.

A study conducted by Cisco has revealed that SMEs in Asia are highly susceptible to cyber security threats. In 2022, 56% of these SMEs experienced cyber incidents, leading to 75% of them losing critical customer information to malicious actors.
However, due to financial constraints, SMEs may find it difficult to bounce back from such attacks. Cyber liability insurance can help manage risks associated with cyber threats. This event is jointly organised with Blackpanda as part of the SBF MAP Cyber Security & Digital Trust initiative.
