Singapore is setting up a Cyber Resilience Centre (CRC) by 2026 to help SMEs tackle rising cyber threats and strengthen confidence in digitalisation. Backed by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) and led by SBF with partners including SCCCI and SGTech, the CRC will serve as a one-stop hub offering workshops, system evaluations, a staffed helpline, and post-incident recovery support.
It will also conduct cyber drills and provide CISO-as-a-Service guidance to enhance SMEs’ preparedness. With more than eight in ten firms facing cyber incidents annually, the CRC aims to uplift baseline cyber hygiene and help businesses operate securely in a digital-first economy.
The inaugural Europe Conference 2025, co-hosted by SBF and EuroCham Singapore, highlighted the power of Singapore–EU partnerships in navigating today’s rapidly changing global economy. Over 300 participants from seven countries exchanged insights on digital and green economies, trade, and sustainable growth. Minister for Foreign Affairs Vivian Balakrishnan emphasised collaboration, multilateralism, and ASEAN-EU ties, while networking and business matching sessions provided actionable opportunities for companies to forge cross-border partnerships and seize new growth avenues.
Momentum is building for the Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) as both governments reaffirm their commitment to an integrated cross-border economy. At the 2nd JS-SEZ Joint Investment Forum, Malaysia announced new incentives while Singapore outlined priorities to drive advanced manufacturing, green growth, and SME participation. In partnership with the Johor MB’s Office, SBF also led a business mission on 15 October, connecting 19 local and foreign companies to explore investment opportunities.
