New SBF-Led Initiative to Boost Skills and Jobs in Singapore’s Wholesale Trade Sector

On 5 August, SBF was officially appointed as the Jobs-Skills Integrator for Wholesale Trade (JSIT-WST). This initiative, backed by Enterprise Singapore, Workforce Singapore and SkillsFuture Singapore, and supported by an industry consortium including LinkedIn, NTUC’s Employment and Employability Institute, workforce consultancies AngusKnight Singapore and Ingeus Singapore, HR tech provider JobKred, and SIM Academy, aims to strengthen Singapore's wholesale trade sector in three key areas:

Providing access to an HR platform to identify job and skills gaps within companies.
Pinpointing specific jobs for redesign, identifying the necessary skills, and determining the training required for workers.
Assisting companies in finding the right talent for external hiring
