Young Business Leaders AllianceSBF recognises the vital need for the cultivation of a core group of young entrepreneurs and chief executive officers to be Singapore’s next generation of business leaders. To achieve this, SBF established the Singapore Young Business Leaders Alliance (YBLA) in late 2013, together with the Young Entrepreneur Networks at the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Singapore Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the Business Leaders Alumni Club and a 22-strong group of young business leaders.
The SBF-led YBLA aims to provide a coordinated platform for young businesses and young leaders who represent a diverse range of industries and fields to convene on common issues. The Alliance interfaces with government agencies and industry partners to offer young business leaders a host of local and international activities to harness friendships, spark business partnerships, enable networking and enhance leadership and capabilities. These activities include ministerial dialogues, seminars, mentorship opportunities and business missions.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry has also appointed the YBLA to be Singapore’s designated representative at the ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Association. This appointment allows YBLA members to explore potential business opportunities with young business leaders from the ASEAN member states.
