Senior Manager - Finance, Governance, Risk & Corporate Planning

Reporting to the CEO, you will be a key member of the management teamresponsible for strengthening the Foundation's financial stewardship, governance, risk management and organisational effectiveness.

You will provide senior-level oversight across finance, Board and governance matters, corporate planning and organisational operations for SBF Foundation and related initiatives, including MigrantWell Singapore. Working closely with the CEO, Board, Treasurer, management team and SBF shared services, you will help ensure the organisation is well-governed, financially sound and equipped to deliver its strategic and social impact objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance & Financial Stewardship

  • Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow and financial controls for the Foundation and MigrantWell Singapore.
  • Review financial close, accounting adjustments and management reports and provide guidance to bookkeepers.
  • Coordinate annual audits, address audit findings and strengthen financial controls.
  • Oversee payment processing, donation reporting and other key financial compliance requirements.
  • Support oversight of liquidity and investment-related matters where required.

Governance, Risk & Board Support

  • Strengthen the Foundation's governance and risk management framework, ensuring compliance with relevant charity, accounting and statutory requirements.
  • Identify, assess and monitor key organisational, financial, operational and reputational risks and support management in developing appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Maintain and update the organisational risk register and facilitate periodic risk reviews and reporting to management and the Audit & Risk Committee.
  • Coordinate Board and Audit & Risk Committee meetings, including agendas, papers, risk and governance updates and follow-up actions.
  • Work with the Treasurer, Corporate Secretary, auditors and regulatory bodies on governance, statutory, audit and compliance matters.
  • Review and update governance, risk and corporate policies and procedures.

Corporate Planning & Operations

  • Support the Foundation's strategic planning and corporate planning processes.
  • Maintain KPI scorecards and coordinate management and organisational reporting.
  • Drive the implementation and adoption of CRM systems to strengthen data, reporting and stakeholder management.
  • Consolidate inputs across teams for SBF reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with SBF on shared services, including HR, IT and administration.
  • Support staff and Board inductions where required.

Administration& Operations

  • Coordinate with SBF on shared services, including HR, IT and administration.
  • Strengthen organisational systems, processes and controls to support operational efficiency and organisational resilience.

People Leadership

  • Supervise and guide members of the team and support the development of their organisational capabilities.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • At least 8–12 years of relevant experience in finance, governance, risk, corporate planning or organisational management.
  • Strong experience in financial management, budgeting, audit, financial controls and risk management.
  • Familiarity with charity governance, the Charities Accounting Standards and regulatory requirements will be an advantage.
  • Experience supporting senior management, Boards or Board Committees, particularly Audit & Risk Committees, is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills, with sound judgement and high standards of integrity.
  • A proactive, collaborative and hands-on team player with experience in corporate purpose and social impact.
