Assistant Manager/ Manager, Policy & Planning

The Policy & Planning department at SBF plays a central role in shaping the organisation’s long-term direction and translating strategy into actionable priorities that support a future-ready and impactful apex business chamber. The team works at the intersection of strategy, performance, and policy, helping SBF stay relevant to the evolving needs of businesses and the wider economic landscape.

 In this role, you will support or drive key planning and reporting processes, contribute to organisation-wide performance management, and work on policy and strategic initiatives. This is an opportunity for someone who is comfortable working across functions, engaging stakeholders and translating analysis into clear recommendations and actionable outcomes.

 Responsibilities:

  • Support and strengthen SBF’s corporate planning function, including strategic reviews, organisation-wide planning processes, and the end-to-end corporate reporting cycle.
  • Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) framework by working closely with divisional leaders to translate strategic priorities into clear, measurable outcomes and track progress against them.
  • Develop high-quality management materials, reports, dashboards, and presentations that provide senior leadership with clear visibility of organisational priorities, progress and performance.
  • Plan and coordinate key events in the corporate planning calendar, such as sessions covering Council Strategy, Management Exchange and Workplan Seminar to support alignment on strategic priorities and outcomes.
  • Support cross-functional strategic projects by coordinating stakeholders, curating inputs, and ensuring alignment between project outcomes, organisational goals and implementation priorities.
  • Monitor policy and economic developments, conduct research and analysis, and support the preparation of position papers, speeches, and policy-related materials informed by business feedback and stakeholder engagement.

Requirements:

  • Fresh university graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with relevant work experience in corporate planning, strategy, policy, organisational performance or related functions may be considered for theManager role.
  • Experience in driving planning cycles, performance management frameworks or OKR implementation will be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesise qualitative and quantitative information into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports, presentations and briefing materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of, and interest in, the key issues affecting the Singapore business community, especially SMEs.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners.
  • Self-driven, adaptable and able to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
