About Career Conversion Programme for Sustainability Professionals (CCP-S)

Globally with the increasing focus on sustainability, more companies are starting to embrace sustainability practices. It is projected that more existing jobs will gradually be created or redesigned into new “green roles” such as carbon management. CCP-S assist companies train individuals to take on new roles or to be reskilled to take on new “green roles” and drive transformation.

CCP-S is offered in two modalities:

  • Place and Train (6 months duration) for new hires  
  • Job Redesign/ Reskilling (3 months duration) for existing employees who required to be reskilled to take on redesigned or new sustainability related role

ELIGIBILITY
  • The company must be registered/ incorporated in Singapore
  • Candidate must be a minimum of 21 years old with at least 2 years of working experience
  • Candidate must be a new hire or existing employee nominated by an eligible participating company for the CCP
  • Candidate must not be in a similar job role prior to joining CCP
  • Be committed to working with SBF on the necessary administrative matters

For New Hires

  • The company must offer the new hire a PMET job and issue a valid employment contract.

For Existing Employees

  • The affected Candidate would need to have at least 1 year of service with the company
  • (Job Redesign/ Reskilling) Transformation must affect at least 50% of the current job scope*.

*Job level and salary should not be lower than previous and where relevant; the company should provide an increment (where possible) that is commensurate with the new role/responsibility if it is of a higher job value.

Programme

CCP-S Programme Structure

Mandatory Component 

Trainees will need to undergo a sustainability training programme to be selected from WSG pre-approved list. On top of the training programme, The Company are required to conduct On-the-Job Training to ensure the trainee applies the sustainability knowledge in their role. A half-day networking session will be conducted by SBF to allow the trainees to gain a better perspective of sustainability from their peers and encourage the sharing of sustainability practices. 

The optional mentorship (separate fee applicable) will be available to the company that requires an industry expert to guide trainees on their sustainability plan. 

 
Optional CCP-S Mentorship (Separate Fee Applicable) 

The optional 3 half-day CCP-S mentorship chargeable at S$800 (before GST) aims to provide advice to trainees on the fundamental information, knowledge, and skills on sustainability (e.g. Carbon management, Compliance requirements, etc). 
This advisory will help trainees to kickstart their company’s sustainability journey through guidance and discussion on their action plans for their sustainability projects. 

The CCP-S’s Mentorship Council was formed in July 2022. The primary roles of the Mentorship Council are to establish mentors’ selection guidelines, guidelines for mentors to provide mentoring sessions, assessment or performance guidelines for mentors, provide technical advisory where applicable and review the list of mentors and the effectiveness of the mentorship programme.
