Join us for some light refreshments and drinks on 18 Aug 2023 (Fri) evening on a publication launch about Nigeria done by the NTU-SBF Centre for African Studies (CAS) and co-organised between Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and the centre. The session will delve into the economic landscape of Nigeria, the largest economy in the continent, aiming to shed light on the challenges hindering its growth and explore policy priorities for the next decade to achieve sustained economic development.


The seminar will kick off with an executive summary, providing a comprehensive overview of Nigeria's economic situation, including its natural resources, young and tech-savvy workforce, and the impediments it faces in attaining sustainable growth. We will then dive into a diagnostic analysis, addressing the critical issues that Nigeria confronts, such as overreliance on fossil fuel, macro-economic volatility, inadequate infrastructure, and poor governance.
