SBF serves as a unified and trusted voice of Singapore’s vibrant business sector, advocating key issues impacting the Singapore business community both locally and internationally.
SBF’s advocacy and policy ambit covers topics such as sustainability and green growth opportunities, human capital and future of work, and transformation and future trends. Recent papers published include policy papers titled "Sustainability in Business, Sustainability as Business" and "Uplifting Women in the Workforce". These publications are a culmination of extensive industry engagement and a demonstration of the commitment of all stakeholders to collaborate for win-win outcomes.
To help identify the key concerns and address the needs of SBF member companies and the wider business community, SBF conducts our annual flagship National Business Survey as well as various business indices, market reports, and case studies. These research and data outputs also offer important insights to business leaders looking to drive business resilience and growth.
Internationally, SBF champions the trade and investment interests of Singapore businesses as the national secretariat at platforms such as the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ABAC), and through participation in prominent international business forums such as the B20. In addition, SBF is the national representative for the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) which provides a platform for businesses and related organisations to examine and better understand the nature and significance of major shifts in the world economy. Through this arrangement, SBF members enjoy the convenience of purchasing ICC publications from SBF.
