This award is presented by Singapore Business Federation and Local Global Exhibition & Trade Pte Ltd with KPMG as the Knowledge Partner. The Award Presentation will be held during the ECO World 2010 on 9 April 2010, 8pm at Suntec City Convention Centre.
It aims to provides recognition to holistic solutions which meet the needs of the economy, ecology and society together, through corporate social responsibility and a shared purpose: sustainability.
Details of the Award are as follow:-
1. Eligibility
Application is open to all businesses in Singapore
2. Categories
- Category 1: Large Enterprise
- Category 2: Small and Medium Enterprise (SME)
3. What are the benefits?
Elevate your standing in the industry! The winners and top 10 companies under each category will have their case studies published in a handbook. The winner will also be featured in the newspaper.
4. Judging Criteria
Companies will be judged based on the following:
- INNOVATION
The company (or its product/technology) has innovative initiatives/ unique-selling points
that reduce the environmental impact for the company or its end-users.
- CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
The company (or its product/technology) has good corporate governance and uphold
corporate social responsibility in their conduct of business.
- COMMERCIAL POTENTIAL
The company (or its product/technology) has high potential of growth and offer
attractive investment opportunity for local and foreign investors.
- SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS GROWTH
The company (or its product/technology) has adopted or planned to adopt sustainable
measures in their business planning.
- ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH & SAFETY (EHS) AND PRODUCTION PROCESS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The company (or its product/technology) have and Environmental, Health& Safety(EHS) administration system and efficient production process management system in place to encourage environmental protection and sustainable development.

Green IT Award
Jointly presented by Singapore Business Federation (SBF), IBM Singapore Pte Ltd and Institute of Technical Education (ITE) as the education and training partner, as well as Frost & Sullivan as Knowledge Partner, the award aims to provide recognition to holistic green IT solutions, which meet the needs of the business, ecology and society. It is targeted to give recognition to Singapore-based enterprises with outstanding sustainable IT practices.
The Award Presentation will be held during the ECO World 2010 on 9 April 2010, 8pm at Suntec City Convention Centre.
The inaugural Singapore Green IT Award is supported by Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (iDA), International Enterprise (IE) Singapore, National Environment Agency (NEA), Association of Small & Medium Enterprises (ASME), Singapore infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF) and Singapore Compact for CSR.
Frost & Sullivan will also be responsible for developing a Green IT Index that will help both green IT vendors and end user adopters in terms of benchmarking in the future.

- Enterprise Green IT Award
- Small & Medium Business Green IT Award
The winning entry will be judged by a panel of esteemed individuals in the related industry.
What are the benefits?
The winners and top 10 companies under each category will have their case studies published in a handbook. The winner will also be featured in the newspaper.
Judging Criteria
The entries will be judged based on the following:
1) Green IT Implementation: Examples of IT initiatives in your organization designed to minimize impact on environment through reduced energy consumption, recycling and reduced natural resource consumption, reduction in greenhouse gas emission, etc.
2) Corporate Environment Responsibility: How does long term IT planning in your organization incorporate environmental responsibility?
3) Impact Measurement: What processes are in place in your organization to measure the environmental impact and economic gains realized from adoption of Green IT?
4) Innovation: How does your organization keep abreast with latest technological developments in Green IT space and what innovative or differentiated solutions have been deployed in your organization to minimize impact on environment?
