ASEAN BUSINESS AWARDS (ABA) 2012
Invitation to participate in ASEAN Business Awards 2012
The ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) is organising ASEAN Business Awards (ABA) 2012. The aim is to profile ASEAN enterprises which have contributed to the ASEAN economy as well as to profile promising ASEAN SMEs which could become global players.
ABA was inaugurated in 2007 during Singapore's chairmanship of ASEAN-BAC, led by Dr Robert Yap, ASEAN-BAC member for Singapore. Singapore's representative on the past and ABA 2011 committees, and also as ASEAN-BAC member for Singapore, is Ms Low Sin Leng, Singapore National Gateway for ABA.
Held in conjunction with the 21st ASEAN Summit, the awards will be conferred to companies in the four categories: Growth, Employment, Innovation, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This year ABA Committee have worked closely with the ASEAN SME Working Group (ASMEWG) and have agreed to provide more emphasis on the SME criteria focusing to the innovation category.
A total minimum of 26 winners and runner - ups will be designated as "Most Admired ASEAN Enterprise" from larger size companies and small - and - medium enterprises (SME), will be announced at the Closing Gala Dinner of the 2012 ASEAN Business & Investment Summit (ASEAN-BIS) on 18-20 November in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
