ASEAN Business Awards (ABA) 2010
The ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) is organising ASEAN Business Awards (ABA) 2010. The aim is to profile ASEAN enterprises which have contributed to the ASEAN economy as well as to profile promising ASEAN SMEs which could become global players. ABA was inaugurated in 2007 during Singapore's chairmanship of ASEAN-BAC, led by Dr Robert Yap, ASEAN-BAC member for Singapore. As in the past ABA committees, for ABA 2010 Committee, Singapore’s representative is Ms Low Sin Leng, ASEAN-BAC member for Singapore.
There are two separate sections for nominations, i.e., for larger-size companies and SMEs. Each section is for the four categories of:
Growth
Employment
Innovation
Corporate Social Responsibility
There could be a total of eight winners (from among 24 finalists) who will be announced during the Closing Gala Dinner of 2010 ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (ASEAN-BIS), tentatively scheduled on 28-29 October in Hanoi, alongside the ASEAN Summit (Vietnam is the current chairman of ASEAN).
The Strategic Partner for ABA 2010 is KPMG, which is assisting in managing the programme.
Completed nomination forms with supporting documents, should reach SBF by 30 June 2010.
