Celebrate Racial Harmony this July!
As July is the Racial Harmony Month, MOM Community Engagement Programme Secretariat is encouraging companies to organise activities that involve all employees, in order to foster cross-cultural awareness and understanding at the workplace.
You can start by initiating Racial Harmony celebrations at your workplace this July. Below are some ideas:
- Have a day for everyone to come to work wearing their own ethnic costumes
- Coordinate a potluck party of traditional food from the various ethnic groups
- Invite employees to form a company contingent to take part in the Orange Ribbon Walk 2012, commemorating Racial Harmony, on 7 July 2012.
