Employers often feel guilt and stress for having to perform the termination and dismissal task. When dealing with employee termination and dismissal, it is important to keep in mind a few things in order to make the process as smooth as possible and to protect the company as a whole. Wrongful dismissal will have serious repercussions in today's society, so it's important to know how to handle it properly.

This workshop will guide participants through the expectations, responsibilities, and rights of both the employee and employers when an employment relationship is discontinued or severed without incurring the risk of possible legal challenge. Participants will be guided to avoid wrongful termination claims to uphold their reputation as an employer of choice.

The Workshop Leader
Mr David Shanmugam is an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore and has many years of legal experience in the private sector.

He has conducted legal training for the corporate sector on the various practical legal issues faced by the corporate field. His forte is in the field of corporate and commercial drafting of contracts, including company matters.
