The relationship between employer and employee is regulated largely by the employment act. It provides the terms and conditions of employment, the rights and obligations of employers and employees. It is important for HR practitioners to have an in-depth understanding of its interpretation and application. This workshop will provide participants with the understanding of the concepts and the practical application.

All members are encouraged to attend this workshop to acquire a good understanding of the various provisions of the Employment Act.


The Workshop Leader
Ajinkya M Tulpule is a Senior Legal Executive with the Employment & Executive Compensation Practice and the Competition & Antitrust Practice Groups of Rajah & Tann LLP. In addition to his primary focus in Competition law work, Ajinkya regularly assists in reviewing various employment related documents such as employment contracts, handbooks and employment manuals for local Singapore companies as well as large multinational corporations. He also assists in advising employers on disputes and contentious matters including dismissal of employees for misconduct, retrenchment, benefits payable to the employees as well as the validity of non-compete and restraints of trade clauses in employment contracts. Ajinkya also drafts and reviews bonus/ incentive scheme agreements regularly.
