Event Highlights - The event highlights a real estate development opportunity to master plan and develop a mixed residential and hotel development with a low carbon specification in Boshan City of Zibo, in Shandong Province. China has now become the global leader in developing green living and working communities using alternative and renewable energy technologies. In China today, there are hundreds of cities adopting the eco-city as a development model, and this presents many opportunities for local real estate developers and clean technology providers to gain access and participate in developing sustainable development working and living communities. This session will highlight real estate development opportunities by incorporating alternative & renewable energy technologies, including a Low Carbon Development Fund to be set up for the rollout of this Development Project as well as investment and development in the Eco-Agricultural, Eco-Tourism and the Healthcare sectors in Boshan Municipality.
Qilu Singapore Low-Carbon Residential & Hotel Development Park is located at Boshan District of Zibo City of Shandong Province. Zibo City has a population of 4,180,000 with an area of 5,938 km2 and it is approx. 1 hour drive from Jinan airport. Zibo City consists of five administrative districts including Boshan. Zibo City is one of the top 50 Chinese cities with overall competitive strength with annual GDP of RMB164.5 Billion.
Boshan is an old Industrial City of Shandong Province with more than 100 years of history renowned for its machineries, electronics, new materials, glass & pottery, pump industry, fire resistance materials, etc. Boshan is renowned for the birth place of Glass & Crystal for China , Ceramic & Pottery , Water Pumps , Lu Cuisine among many other industries.
The Qilu-Singapore Low Carbon Residential & Hotel Development Park is a 235 mu (approx. GFA 150,000 m2) development that will adopt a variety of clean technology including clean energy (solar etc), green building, smart green home automation, clean & green water resource & waste disposal management, green ICT and public health administration, advanced materials, etc.

The Delegation will be here from 5th – 8th Sep led by Deputy Director of Project Development, China Ministry of Commerce Investment Promotion Agency (CIPA) who will highlight the "Innovation and Practice of International Investment Promotion Platform of CIPA & CleanTech Investment in China" - and the Mayor of Boshan City.
