Sustainability Reporting Global Reporting Initiative Reporting Sustainability reporting is a broad term used to describe a company’s reporting on its economic, environmental and social performance. It is becoming more prevalent, driven by a growing recognition that sustainability related issues can materially affect a company’s performance, demands from various stakeholder groups for increased levels of transparency and disclosure and the need for the business community to appropriately respond to issues of sustainable development.

The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is the most widely used sustainability reporting framework, with over 1400 reports registered in 2009. The GRI held a Conference on Sustainability and Transparency at the end of May in Amsterdam. The conference drew over 1200 participants - the lead thinkers and doers in the field. The conference led discussions on reporting, including the future of integrated reporting, the role of regulators and the role of investors.

In this seminar, Nikki McKean-Wood, GRI Organizational Stakeholder Program Manager, will discuss some of the latest trends in sustainability reporting. She will give an insight into these topics and will talk about the latest developments in the G3 Sustainability Reporting Framework.

Target Audience – Members of SBF and Singapore Compact, as well as Directors and senior executives who have done or are intending to implement Sustainability Reporting.
