The Organization for Investment Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran (OIETAI) and the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) are pleased to present the Iran Business Opportunities Conference on 23 July 2010. This conference is held in conjunction with the visit to Singapore by H.E. Dr. Behrouz Alishiri, Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the President of OIETAI. A business delegation led by OIETAI will also accompany the Deputy Minister to Singapore.

This full day conference will comprise presentations related to the nuts and bolts of doing business in Iran, as well as sector specific discussions and showcasing of business projects. Singapore businesses will also have the opportunity to network with the Iranian government officials and business counterparts.

Facts about the Iran:

  • One of the largest consumer markets in Middle East with a population of 75 million population and a GDP of      US$817 billion (2009 estimate)
  • DP per capital of USD$12,900 based on purchasing power parity,
  • Key strengths of strategic geographical location, vast reserves of natural resources such as oil, gas and other      minerals
  • Enjoys good trade relations with Singapore. As of 2009; Singapore’s trade with Iran is valued at S$2.87 billion
