India is one of the fastest growing economies in the world. With its growing pace and in order to consolidate its regulatory framework, there is a need to revamp the existing regulatory framework, more specifically, the existing Income-tax Act and guidelines related to Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). The government had introduced a draft code on Direct Taxes in 2009 and also announced key changes to its FDI policy.

SBF is pleased to organise this seminar where the speakers from India will discuss the impact of key proposals of the draft DTC and in addition, the implications of major policy changes to the FDI environment. This seminar will be useful for companies who are have a presence in India and also those who are looking at India as a potential investment destination

    About the Speaker

    Mr Himanshu Srivastava is a Chartered Accountant with experience of over 7 years in set-up and project management function involving initial entry planning, obtaining government approvals, guidance on land acquisition, contract structuring etc. Additionally, has experience in conducting financial feasibility studies and business valuations for mergers and acquisitions. He supervises a team of professional staff members for execution and co-ordination of the diverse assignments.

    Mr Sunil Arora FCA has significant experience in taxation and financial services sector. Determining the optimal route for investment into or outside India through efficient tax jurisdictions is his forte. Handles complex Expatriate Tax and Transfer Pricing issues. Additionally, has wide knowledge in carrying out due diligence, business valuations and financial modeling. Has developed significant expertise on Information Technology, Media, Lifestyle, Education and welfare. Well versed in representing and handling client matters before the Indian Tax Authorities.
