A high level delegation led by Zhejiang Vice-Major will be in Singapore for the Singapore-Zhejiang Economic and Trade Council Meeting from 22 – 24 Mar which will also witness the signing of the Hangzhou-Singapore Eco-Park (HSEP) Agreement. As part of the delegation visit, Hangzhou Qianjiang Economic Development Area (HQEDA), led by its Secretary General, together with CleanTech-Partners (CTP) will be hosting an Investment Opportunities Forum with SBF & IE Singapore to highlight investment opportunities for Singapore companies to participate in the HSEP development.
This event will also share more details of the potential attractions of HSEP, including tax and investment policies, how low carbon adoption could profit investors in the HSEP development and why and how China is supporting such eco-park development. It will also cover the agreement signed between CTP, its local partner Vanwarm and the HQEDA on the master planning of the HSEP.
Hangzhou-Singapore Eco-Park (HSEP)
CTP ( www.cleantech-partners.net) represents a consortium of Singapore based clean technology SMEs which entered into a Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with the Hangzhou Qianjiang Economic Development Area (HQEDA) on the 24 Nov 09 to form a joint venture with a Hangzhou hotel and real estate developer group named Vanwarm Holdings Group to undertake HSEP development. First phase of HSEP is to master plan and develop a 345 mu (23 hectare) site, the objective being to establish realistic guidelines in developing the site into an ecologically friendly low carbon industrial and commercial park with residential and service apartments in the prime CBD land of HQEDA. Total investment of this first phase development is approximately RMB2 Billion (US$300 Million) with an estimated total GFA of 500,000 square meters and it is targeted to be completed over the next five years.
CTP's role is to explore adoption of a suite of clean technologies in the renewable and alternative energy space - these will include recycling urban and agricultural waste, waste water treatment, more intensive use of green building materials, improving public health standards and promotion of green ICT. The HSEP will provide foreign and local Chinese cleantech companies an alternative location to establish their China Head Quarters. The park plans to attract Financial Institutions, establish a centre for R&D & Innovation, Technical Validation, Small Business Incubation, Product & Technology Commercialization, Sales & Marketing Facilitation and a Logistics Coordination Centre. HSEP aims to integrate the various components of the park - residential, business, leisure, entertainment - in a healthy and environmentally friendly atmosphere.
