The 2-day intensive training course will completely enable leaner to obtain both the critical knowledge of business continuity planning and the SS540:2008 BCM standard requirement. The course is designed to complement the implementation of the National BCM Programme in 2010 and beyond. On completion, participants will be tested with an exam and the certification of pass will be given. Participant will then be equipped with a good understanding of the road map to develop a BCM system in their organization.
The course is based on the industry best business continuity planning practice which includes BCM organization, risk analysis, business impact analysis, strategies, emergency response, crisis communication, plan development, testing and exercise and program maintenance. The course will examine the SS540:2008 BCM framework which includes policies, processes, people, and infrastructure components crossed against BCM areas of risk, business impact analysis, strategies, BC plan, tests, and exercise and program management.
SS540: 2008 BCM Standard Approach, Definition & its Implementation
The SS540:2008 plan-do-check-act (PDCA) approach and the BCM framework will be illustrated in full details. The course will examine the approach to identify the risk, the business impact analysis, the recovery time objective (RTO), the critical business function (CBF) and the minimum business continuity objective (MBCO) of a business. Training will include many sample templates for participants to start up BCM.
