The China-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (CSFTA), the 1st comprehensive bilateral FTA which China concluded with an Asian country has entered into force on 1 January 2009; and the ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement (ACFTA) took full effect from 1 January 2010. The ACFTA creates the world’s 3rd largest free trade area after the European Economic Area and North American Free Trade Area. The ACFTA provides for zero tariffs on 90% of products traded between China and ASEAN.
The implementation of CSFTA and ACFTA creates vast business opportunities for Singapore enterprises; facilitates access to China and ASEAN markets covering 1.9 billion people and US$6 trillion worth of trade.
Besides covering trade in goods, this Seminar will also focus on trade in services and investment opportunities. The participants will also be briefed on the practical issues regarding doing business with China and how to make minefield into a goldmine. Companies which have investments in Singapore, other ASEAN countries and China or plan to venture into China are encouraged to attend this seminar to learn how to capitalize on CSFTA and ACFTA to expand your businesses to China and ASEAN.
