The seminar will explain the SS540:2008 BCM framework which includes policies, processes, people and infrastructure components crossed against BCM areas of risk, business impact analysis, strategies, BC plan, tests & exercise and program management. The contents are based on industry best business continuity planning practices and are designed to complement the implementation of the Singapore National BCM program in 2010 and beyond.

Speaker
Winston Poon is the Managing Director of Disaster Recovery Institute Singapore - Licensed affiliate of Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) and also the distributor of Strohl Systems Business Continuity solutions in Singapore. Winston had been a graduate of Computing Science from the Aston University in Birmingham in 1982. After graduation, he started his own computer technology business in 1987 thus making him one of the pioneer business technopreneurs in Singapore. Winston has also served for four years on the committee of the Business Continuity Group, a Chapter of the Singapore Computer Society and had been certified by the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) as an instructor and a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP). During his 25 years of project management and business continuity offering, he has worked with many government and global companies to facilitate risk analysis, standards and advanced project management approaches.
