Singapore is also leading investor in Bangladesh with investment amounting to around half a billion US dollar where its investment as of now mainly centralizes on telecommunication and textiles.

Singapore is an important trading partner of Bangladesh. Trade between the two counties has been increasing steadily over the years. As of November 2009, bilateral trade between the two countries increased from S$ 1.77 billion in 2008 to S$ 1.97 billion in 2009.

As of November 2009, Singapore exports amounted to S$1.9 billion which comprised mainly refined petroleum products, apparel & textile machineries, data processing machines and telecommunications equipment. Singapore imports amounted to S$76 million. The main export items were apparel & textiles, refined petroleum products, electronic parts, copper and seafood crustaceans.
