Synopsis
Singapore has identified sustainable development not only as the future model of economic development and way of life but also as a new wave of growth for our companies and businesses.
Over the past few years, various assistance, funding and incentive schemes from different government agencies across BCA, EDB, EMA, IE Singapore, NEA, SPRING Singapore, LTA, PUB, etc. have helped spawned a new industry with hundreds of Singapore companies now venturing into different business areas of sustainable development including clean energy (solar, wind, bioenergy, fuel cells, hydro, etc.), carbon trading, green IT, energy efficiency, environmental management, green building, green transport, sustainable water solutions, sustainability training and consultancy, waste management and recycling, etc. many of them looking at the regional and overseas markets.
To further grow and promote this industry, government agencies namely EMA, IE Singapore and SPRING Singapore will jointly organize a forum discussion with members of SBF to engage in a dialogue session with companies to help identify issues and develop strategies from an industry development perspective:-
What opportunities in the energy and clean and green sector do the industries see?
What obstacles/barriers to progress do your industries experience?
What measures can government take to help the address the situation?
The forum will not only allow participants to discuss and feedback on the above issues with a government and industry expert panel, but also find out the latest updates in assistance, funding and incentive schemes from EMA, IE Singapore and SPRING Singapore in areas like Clean Energy Solutions Testbedding at Pulau Ubin, Exporting Singapore's Green ICT Competencies and Green Standard Development, etc.
Please note that there are limited seats for this forum discussion, participants are encouraged to register early to avoid disappointment.
