"Be Prepared" - Understanding the Need for BCM

Since the turn of this century, the business environment had changed so quickly that management now needs to constantly look over their shoulders to ensure that threats to the physical survival of their businesses are being addressed. What can management do to prepare the businesses to deal with disasters that will impact greatly on their income streams? When disaster strikes, the organization will immediately react into four stages namely response, resumption, recovery and restoration. The seminar examines what are the most common and critical elements required in resumption and recovery plans in order to "Recover quickly after a disaster strikes". After the seminar, participant will understand what are needed, how many, how much are needed for a quick recovery. The speakers will touch on the following points:

    About the Speakers

    Andrew Lee, Director of DRBCM Associates Pte Ltd, a company that specializes in Business Continuity Management (BCM) training and consultancy services. Since April 01, 2007 he had been actively involved in providing consultancy services to a number of statutory boards and MNCs and in coaching a number of Financial Services Institutions in their BCM programmes. Prior to this, Andrew was the Vice President, Regional Head of BCM for Asia Pacific in Deutsche Bank AG.

    Mr. Ee Kiam Keong CBCP of DRII. Kiam Keong has been awarded CBCP since 2001. He was responsible for corporate IT recovery management with the Capitaland. He has conducted numerous exercises with his work involvement. Kiam Keong is also an EXCO member of the Business Continuity Group Chapter of the Singapore Computer Society for the past 4 years contributing to raise the awareness of business continuity in Singapore.
