The Jobs Credit Scheme was introduced in the Singapore Budget 2009 to encourage businesses to preserve jobs in the downturn. Businesses will receive a cash grant based on the CPF contributions they have made for their existing employees. It provides a significant incentive for businesses to retain existing workers, and where their business warrants, employ new ones.
SPUR or Skills Programme for Upgrading and Resilience, is an enhanced funding support scheme developed by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) in consultation with the tripartite partners including the SNEF and the NTUC. SPUR leverages on the extensive CET training system built up over the years to scale up training programmes to help companies and workers during the current economic downturn and build stronger manpower capabilities for the recovery.
To help SMEs meet their HR capability needs, SNEF in collaboration with Spring Singapore has launched a new HR Advisory and Information Service for Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The HR Capability Package will improve and strengthen SMEs' human resource management capabilities by addressing HR gaps and promoting good HR practices.
