Latin Asia Business Forum 2011
Fostering Trade and Investment between Asia and Latin America
(Supported by SBF)
Date : 5 Oct 2011
Venue : Grand Hyatt, Singapore

Latin America:
World's 2nd fastest growing region. 590 million people. Economy worth US$5 trillion. Consumer spending of US$3.16 trillion.

That’s not all. Latin America’s trade with Asia also grew by 357% in the past decade, outpacing its growth with traditional top trading partners, the US and Europe. While Asia presents a ready market for Latin America’s commodities, Latin America is a sizeable market for Asia’s consumer brands.

Against this backdrop, International Enterprise (IE) Singapore, the government agency driving Singapore's external economy will be hosting the Latin Asia Business (LAB) Forum 2011 on 5 October 2011. In its eighth year, LAB 2011 will provide business and government leaders in Asia and Latin America a platform for dialogue and facilitate access to business opportunities in both regions.
    Hear from:
  • Asian Development Bank and Andean Development Corporation (CAF) on the top trade trends between both regions and understand how you can tap on these development banks to grow your business.
  • Latin American Ministers on their economic policy priorities and key projects in their respective countries.
  • High growth corporations in the oil and gas, infrastructure, commodities, and info-communications sectors on opportunities in Latin America.
  • Asian experts who will give an overview of the performance of Asian economies and what to expect.
  • Companies who have successfully addressed the Asian market on strategies to enter and capture the Asian market.
Delegates also have access to numerous networking opportunities, including the Cocktail reception, customised business meetings and specialised seminars on the sidelines
