Water Convention 2010

Supported by Singapore Business Federation, the Water Convention is a technical convention which showcases solutions for various applications in the water industry. It offers a platform for industry experts, practitioners, researchers and academics to interact and share the latest advances and challenges in water and used water treatment. At the Water Convention, delegates will be able to choose from a wide spectrum of technologies, processes, systems and approaches to solve problems and issues.

More than 800 delegates from 58 countries attended the Water Convention 2009 which saw more than 110 oral presentations and 80 poster presentations. In line with the theme 'Sustainable Cities: Clean and Affordable Water', the Water Convention 2010 will focus on issues such as technological applications, water quality and guidelines for safe water, and financing of water infrastructure projects. The programme for Water Convention will be designed specifically to examine the trends and challenges facing East Asia, Asia-Pacific, South Asia and the Middle East. The presentations selected for the conference will showcase solutions and best practices within these geographical regions, although some successful case studies outside these regions will also be featured.

The Water Convention 2010 programme will feature more than 150 oral presentations spanning a wide range of topics in the following four main themes:

1. Solutions for Water System Efficiency & Effectiveness
2. Planning for Sustainable Water Solutions
3. Water Quality & Health
4. Governance and Finance
