The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) is pleased to support the Turkish Buying Mission Programme: TurkeyBuild Istanbul 2010. The Turkish Buying Mission Programme will be organized in conjunction with the TurkeyBuild Istanbul 2010 – Building, Construction Materials and Technologies Trade Show which is held in Istanbul from 5-9 May 2010.

The TurkeyBuild Istanbul 2010, is the biggest and most important building materials exhibition in Turkey, gathering all components of the building sector. TurkeyBuild Istanbul 2009 was held in an area of 60 000 m sq. with the participation of 750 domestic and foreign companies as trade exhibitors and had attracted 101 041 visitors of different nationalities. You may wish to know that the building and construction sector is one of the leading sectors in Turkey and Turkey is one of the top exporters of construction services. The Turkish building materials industry is highly regarded all over the world especially for materials like cement, ceramics, most of metal products, glass, natural stones, paints & coatings, building hardware and HVAC-R products. In 2008, Turkish exports of building materials reached to US$23.5 billion, an 18% share in Turkey's total exports and were consigned to approximately 190 countries.

We encourage SBF members from the Building and Construction sector to join this buying mission as participants will have ample opportunities to make bilateral meetings with the Turkish counterparts, visit to the facilities of the manufacturers and/or to participate in a tour exploring the vibrant city of Istanbul. Moreover, the accommodation expenses at a 4 or 5-star hotel (including breakfast) of the participants will be paid for by the Turkish Government.
