The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) together with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council cordially invites you to the bizSAFE Convention 2010. This once-a-year event is a special session to help Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) kick-start the way to better WSH management and performance. For the larger enterprises which work closely and regularly with SME subcontractors, the Convention will help to get these SMEs to work in tandem with the larger enterprises so as to raise WSH standards.
In the business world, companies which are in for the long haul, will value the need to create strong partnerships with both customers and employees. This is important if they want to build a sustainable and responsible business in harmony with the environment and the community. Proper WSH management is a core component of any company looking for longevity and prosperity in your business.
The value of safety in a SME set-up is critical if it wants to continue to have a successful working relationship with larger corporations. Many of these larger companies such as the major shipyards and contractors in Singapore will only work with SMEs which have successfully implemented risk management (i.e. bizSAFE Level 3). Thus, the right step ahead for SMEs is in bizSAFE – a 5-step systematic process to help SMEs build WSH capability and strengthen their WSH management system.
Attendees for the main session can also sign up for a customised workshop following the lunch break. In conjunction with this Convention, a series of bizSAFE Level 1 workshops which are offered free for the first time, courtesy of Bond International and PSB Academy (English), and CCIS and Concord Associates (Mandarin) for SMEs keen to join bizSAFE. SMEs already at varying stages of bizSAFE can also sign up for the RM workshop or the workplace visit.
