Exploring Bilateral Trade & Investment Opportunities

The Indian Chamber of Commerce is organizing “India Invest 2009”, an ICC Senior Members’ Delegation to Singapore between 20th & 21st of October, 2009. A high-level strategic Conference will also be organized on the 21st of October in Singapore, as part of the prestigious initiative, which aims to explore bi-lateral trade prospects and opportunities for future mutual cooperation between India and Singapore.

Objectives
  • Facilitate sector, and project based discussions and interactions between potential partners in India, Singapore, and also other South-East Asian countries, to catalyse concrete business tie-ups and partnerships.

  • Handholding the Indian SME s and Corporates to enable them to work with Singapore-based companies on a sustained basis.

  • Create awareness on the emerging economic trends and future outlook in South-East Asia, with specific reference to growth of the private sector, investment needs, and avenues, business regulations, and financing systems. India and Singapore to be the focus countries

  • Facilitate interactions of Indian Govt. & Policy Makers, Indian Funding Agencies, Indian Corporates with Singaporean dignitaries from Govt , Business, and other relevant Institutions
The objectives of the Programme thus involve generating significant interest on both sides to explore, identify and implement specific joint-ventures / tie-ups, etc. based upon mutual competitiveness and synergies.

The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the largest Chamber in the East & North-East of India, has a strong focus on enhancing India – South-East Asia economic and business co-operation; and has taken concrete initiatives in the past to strengthen bilateral economic relationship between India, and South-East Asian nations like Thailand. “India Invest 2009” in Singapore will be another concrete step aimed at effectively enhancing trade & economic linkages between India and her Asian partners.
