Following the Singapore Business Federation’s (SBF) inaugural business mission to Eastern Africa in 2010, SBF, together with the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI) will be embarking on a business mission to Tanzania and Kenya from 9 - 16 November 2011.
With improved political and macroeconomic stability as well as rapid private-sector growth, Africa holds vast business and trading opportunities for the Singapore business community. Regionally, Eastern Africa is a promising market with a combined population of 133.5 million people (2010) and a combined GDP of $74.5 billion (2009). With the newly established common market of the East African Community (EAC), the Singapore business community can also leverage on the free movement of labour, capital, goods and services within the EAC to advance their business interests.
