The Singapore Business Federation in collaboration with Network Indonesia is organizing a 5D/4N Business Mission to Indonesia (Jakarta, Surabaya and Balikpapan).
In each featured city, there will be time to interact with government officials and business community members. This will be followed by site visits to relevant industrial sites OR retail and property sites according to your choice of industry track.
Our regional cities exploration brings us to Surabaya with a possible extension to Balikpapan. Surabaya's retail and F&B sectors are on the rise with purchasing power of the increasing population almost equivalent to that of Jakarta's. With connections to major sea ports in Asia, there are opportunities for transport logistics and manufacturing firms to consider operations there to develop their businesses.
Balikpapan in East Kalimantan is the second largest province in size and is a key oil and gas hub with international players. The wealth from natural resources is in turn driving the hospitality sector. The region presents various opportunities as the government moves to diversify and promote sustainable development (urban/rural solutions). Our visit will also include the 5,000 hectare Kariangau Industrial Zone.
