SBF Business Mission to China, Guangdong Province (Shenzhen & Guangzhou)

The Singapore Business Federation (SBF), supported by International Enterprise Singapore and Association of Small & Medium Enterprises, is organizing a Business Mission to Guangdong-Shenzhen and Guangzhou, from 12 to 17 July 2009, in conjunction with the official visit by our Acting Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts, RAdm (NS) Lui Tuck Yew.
This mission also coincides with the Inaugural Meeting of Guangdong-Singapore Bilateral Enterprises Council (GSBEC) co-chaired by SBF and CCPIT Guangdong Council. The main purpose of the mission is to explore Guangdong's many business opportunities for Singapore companies arising from the province’s current economic restructuring. Mission members will be invited to join the Inaugural Meeting of GSBEC. Briefings by local government officials, business networking and matching sessions, site visits to local companies and other business programmes will be specially arranged for you.
In 2008, Guangdong, with 93 mil population, was ranked 1st on China provincial GDP list in terms of the market size and spending power. Singapore is the 5th largest foreign investor in Guangdong. Guangzhou and Shenzhen are the top 2 choices for market development in the Pearl River Delta.
