SBF Business Mission to Colombo - Sri Lanka

The Electronics & IT sectors have been identified as key industries being developed and promoted by the Sri Lankan government. As a result, foreign companies investing in these sectors are offered package of attractive incentives and concessions.

Sri Lanka's competitive advantage in the electronics industry is it's availability of technical and professional human resources at competitive wage rates, good infrastructure, special electronics/ IT park and R & D facilities.

The Sri Lankan government has also shown its commitment to the IT industry through its dedication to set up more IT techno-parks and building of global-standard IT infrastructure, especially with the building of the undersea cable system through the SEA-ME-WE 4 project that will enable Sri Lanka to have unprecedented bandwidth advantage to mature into a competitive business hub.
