SBF Business Mission To New Zealand

In conjunction with Singapore President SR Nathan's visit to New Zealand (NZ), the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) invites CEOs & Business Owners to join us and explore business opportunities in NZ's thriving cities - Christchurch, Wellington & Auckland!

Ever wondered where might be the next best country to do business after Singapore? It has to be NZ, no doubt! In a 2007 World Bank Survey, NZ ranked as the 2nd best country to do business in the world, after Singapore.

As one of the most prominent OECD members and a fellow APEC member, NZ has been crowned multiple accolades, including being 2007's least corrupted country in the world, and ranked 5th country globally for gender equity. The scenic country offers not only a stable, open and competitive economy, but also a business-friendly government and competitive cost structures.

The strong bilateral relationship which Singapore shares with NZ is not new. We have an existing "Trans-Pacific SEP" FTA signed with NZ, Brunei and Chile in 2006, as well as a film co-production agreement with NZ. All these highlight the commitment by both countries to establish close ties and build on stronger ones as we tap on each others' capabilities to make greater headways into the global market.

The objective of this mission is to provide a platform for Singapore businessmen who have keen and concrete interest in NZ or who already have presence in the country, to find out more about the business opportunities in the 3 most prominent cities in NZ, as well as further enhance your business presence. Participants will be able to establish useful and important contacts through the specially organized meetings with the governmental officials and key industry leaders.

Please kindly note that as this is a high-level official visit to NZ and may involve participation in the President's official programme, we would require interested companies to send only their senior management representatives (CEOs and Business Owners) to take part in the business mission.
