Business Mission to Chongqing & Wuhan
|
|
|
In conjunction with the Expo Central China 2008 (ECC), the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and IE Singapore are jointly organizing a Business Mission to Wuhan, Hubei as well as Chongqing to explore business opportunities. Mr Lee Yi Shyan, Minister of State for Trade and Industry will lead the Business Mission. The ECC will be held from 26 to 28 April in Wuhan. The Central China covers 6 provinces, namely Shanxi, Anhui, Jiangxi, Henan, Hubei and Hunan, totalling 1 million square kilometers, with 360 million or 28% of China's population, ranks high in China's economic and social development. It boasts abundant natural, cultural and tourist resources. It is also an important base of equipment manufacturing, logistics, financial services, tourism, high-tech, clean energy and raw materials.
Chongqing is the largest and most populous among the 4 Municipalities (the other 3 are Beijing, Shanghai and Tianjin) in China. It has been designated as the "New Pilot Reform City" by the Central Government. With the rapid development, Chongqing offers many business opportunities to our Singapore companies in real estate, infrastructure, logistics, education, healthcare and environmental services, etc.
