ProductivitySBF works closely with various government agencies and associations to organise events and programmes aimed at helping businesses achieve greater productivity. Greater productivity translates to more efficient use of resources and achieving better results in the long term.
National Productivity Council (NPC)SBF is represented in the National Productivity Council (NPC) for the second term running. The Council, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam oversees and drives the national effort to boost productivity in Singapore.
National Productivity Month (NPM)
The National Productivity Month (NPM) was first organised as a national initiative in October 2014 by SBF and the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF). It showcases and shares ideas, methods and perspectives on how companies can boost their productivity. NPM serves as a platform for business leaders to network and learn from thought leaders, subject matter experts and industry captains who have successfully revamped their business models, offering them new perspectives through the various activities.
Singapore Productivity Awards(SPA)The Singapore Productivity Awards is presented every year to Singapore-based enterprises that have made strides in raising their productivity. Inaugurated in 2014, the SPA has since honoured 24 enterprises across six sectors.
Productivity Programmes and InitiativesMentorship for Accelerating Productivity Programme (MAP) is an enhancement of the previous Empowering Efficiency and Excellence (3E) programme, offering companies a holistic approach to raise productivity by reducing manpower needs, minimising processing errors and enhancing customer satisfaction. MAP’s panel of industry advisors will provide invaluable guidance on raising awareness of productivity, identifying enterprise productivity gaps and helping to groom in-house productivity champions.
MAP is an extension of the Holistic Industry Productivity Scorecard Calculator, or HIPS calculator, which helps companies assess how they perform in 10 productivity indicators using the "Integrated Approach to Productivity Measurement” under SPRING's IMPACT framework. You may click here for the HIPS e-flyer.
After receiving their productivity scorecards, companies can enrol in MAP, in which companies will undergo a customised mentorship programme consisting of a one-day diagnostic workshop, two-day productivity champion training, and three-month business process re-engineering with mentorship from productivity consultants.
