"Diversification and Future Fuels: A Response to the Energy Security Challenge in APEC" is an open workshop on energy security in APEC This is the first in a series of workshops devised to explore key strategic concepts from the Strategic Framework for Energy Security in APEC, published last year by the East-West Center and the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC).
This year's event includes a keynote address by Mr. George Kirkland, Chevron's Executive Vice President for Global Upstream, and features an international panel of experts on the subject of meeting future demand challenges through diversification.
The event is organized by the U.S. National Center for APEC, the Energy Policy Support Group, and the ABAC, and is open to CEO Summit delegates and attendees, APEC official delegations, ABAC, and the business community in general. We are hoping for a very international and representative crowd, and welcome all sectors, not just energy companies.
The event is scheduled for 2:45-4:45 pm on Thursday, November 12th in the Sophia Room, Raffles City Convention Center.
Admission is free. Anyone wishing to attend can register by sending an email RSVP to
