An Informal Senior Officials Meeting is traditionally held prior to an economy's chairmanship of APEC. As incoming Chair, Singapore hosts the APEC Symposium that brings together senior officials, policy makers, business leaders and academics from the 21 economies to discuss priority issues that will help set the agenda for APEC in 2009.
